Rising K-pop boy group BOYNEXTDOOR successfully wrapped up their comeback showcase to celebrate the release of their mini 3rd album, 19.99.

Held at the Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Yongsan, Seoul, on the 9th, the event received enthusiastic responses from both the in-person audience and online viewers.

About 1,000 fans who were selected through a pre-registration process attended the showcase in person.

Meanwhile, a total of 41,000 viewers (based on concurrent live streams) tuned in via HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel and the global fan platform Weverse.

Fans from 150 countries and regions, including Korea, the United States, Japan, and China, participated, showcasing the group’s growing global popularity.

The showcase kicked off with a friendly greeting from the youngest member, Woonhak, perfectly fitting the album’s title, 19.99.

Boynextdoor, the return of the 'Nice Guy'

"This album is perfect for us who are around 19.99 years old. Let’s have fun together!"

he said, creating a sense of connection with fans of the same age group.

The performance opened with their pre-released track "But I Like You," followed by the title track "Nice Guy," which featured creative stage direction and expressive performances from the members. "Nice Guy" impressed the audience with its easy-listening sound, offering a different vibe compared to the pre-released song.

The track "Stone" conveyed deep emotions with powerful vocals that suited its pop-rock genre.

During the talk session, the group, known for their self-composed music, engaged with fans on the theme of their music.

They shared fan reviews of each track, discussed behind-the-scenes stories from the recording process, and even played games tied to the themes of the songs, fostering a close connection with their audience.

Chartin success

As they wrapped up the showcase, BOYNEXTDOOR expressed their attachment to the album.

"We put a lot of focus into creating this album, and it holds a special place in our hearts. Through this album, we wanted to share this stage of life with you," they said. The members added, "We hope this album brings comfort and empathy to many people. Lastly, we promise to be artists that ONEDOOR (fandom name) can always be proud of."

Music industry professionals are offering positive feedback on BOYNEXTDOOR’s comeback.

One insider commented, "As a rookie group showcasing their own compositions, they demonstrate both musical talent and performance skills. Their potential for future growth is immense."

Another expert noted, "The album’s focus on life at 19 resonates well with fans of the same age, making it an effective way to build and expand their fanbase."

BOYNEXTDOOR’s comeback is seen as a great example of a rising K-pop group’s growth.

Their recognition as talented musicians through self-composed songs, along with active engagement with a global audience, is gaining attention as a successful strategy.

All eyes are on BOYNEXTDOOR to see what kind of success they will achieve with this album and how they will continue to grow as a leading rookie group in K-pop.

Their efforts are raising expectations for the fresh energy they can bring to the K-pop scene.
